Psychology Assessment
Our psychology assessment services provide comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents to better understand their emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and developmental needs. Our experienced psychologists use evidence-based tools and a child-centred approach to assess concerns such as anxiety, attention difficulties, learning challenges, emotional regulation, and social development. Each assessment includes a detailed report and tailored recommendations to support your child at home, school, and in the community. Assessments can be conducted in English or Chinese.

FAQ Psychology Assessment
Do I need a GP referral to see the psychologist?
No, you can self-refer. However, if you would like to claim Medicare rebates, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) for your child. Just ask your GP, “Can my child get a Mental Health Care Plan?” (普通科醫生可以寫一個精神健康計劃). Bring it with you to the first session.
What kinds of concerns can your psychologist help with?
We support children and teens with anxiety, emotional regulation, behaviour, learning differences, social worries, school stress, or low confidence. If you're unsure what your child needs, just contact us — we can guide you.
Will sessions be in English only?
No — our team offers bilingual support in English, Cantonese (廣東話) and Mandarin (普通話). You can choose the language your child feels most comfortable with.
How long is each psychology session?
Most sessions are 50 minutes, including time to talk with you before or after.
Can parents join the session?
For younger children, yes — your involvement is helpful. For older children/teens, it depends on their comfort and the goals. We always keep you updated.
